How do e-vouchers work?

E-vouchers work in a similar way to online banking. You are assigned an e-voucher account which you access to arrange payment directly into your carer(s) bank account. You can easily monitor and review your payments and it is hassle-free for your carer as they do not have any vouchers to redeem. To find out more visit the Sodexho Pass e-voucher website.

How do paper vouchers work?

Paper vouchers work like cash. Vouchers are despatched to arrive at your home address on payday and you use them to pay your carer who redeems them with Sodexho Pass. They are highly secure and you can use vouchers to pay as many carers as you use.

Can I receive e-vouchers if I don't have access to the Internet or email?

You must have access to the Internet and email to take e-vouchers. This is because payments are actioned through the e-voucher website and you are notified of payments via your email address. Your carer does not need to have to access to the internet or email for you to take e-vouchers.

What are the differences between paper and e-vouchers?

E-vouchers work like online bank accounts and are credited on payday. Parents make payments directly to one or several carers' bank account by electronic transfer. Carers do not need to redeem e-vouchers as payment is directed straight into their bank account. Paper vouchers are used like cash to pay carers who then redeem the vouchers with Sodexho Pass. Vouchers are delivered to parents on payday and are available in a number of denominations to match individual circumstances.

What denominations do paper vouchers come in?

Like cash, Sodexho Pass childcare vouchers are available in a variety of denominations to make up the amount of vouchers and number of carers which need to be paid. If you wish to specify the denominations of your paper vouchers, please contact our Customer Care team.

When do I get my vouchers?

Paper vouchers arrive at your home address on payday. In the case of e-vouchers, your e-voucher account is credited on payday.

Do the vouchers have an expiry date?

Sodexho Pass childcare vouchers have an expiry date of over 12 months so you can save them up for use for times when you may need extra childcare e.g. during the school holidays.

What if my vouchers have expired?

Sodexho Pass has in the past undertaken to replace vouchers for a further 12 months. Contact Sodexho Pass for more information if you have expired vouchers.
