Education - Food Services

We have more than 50 years' experience providing food services at state schools, independent schools, colleges and universities. Our focus is on promoting healthier lifestyle choices amongst our younger customers, while reflecting the trends and needs of our customers in higher education.

Nutritional guidelines
Our relationship with the Government and the Food Standards Agency allows us to meet and exceed nutritional guidelines for school meals. We actively promote healthy cooking practices to reduce salt, sugar and saturated fat content. And our commitment to use ethically sourced and locally produced ingredients is a mark of our quality.

What's more, we get pupils involved too. We are a key player in the Year of Food and Farming campaign, which is designed to teach children about the source of food, growing vegetables, how to cook and to help them understand how food gets from farm to plate.

Commitment to training
Our proactive approach to improving the quality of food services in education is proven by our commitment to training and developing our chefs, as well as our relationship with celebrity chef Paul Rankin who helps us promote healthy eating in schools and further and higher colleges.

School Meals and Lifestyle Survey
We treat pupils and students as customers and, as such, it is crucial for us to understand their needs and wants if we're going to provide services that meet those requirements.

Our School Meals and Lifestyle Survey is designed to do just that. The results provide us with a unique view of the eating habits of school children, the trends in food and attitudes to health, as well as the expectations of parents. This information helps us to design food services that meet both client and customer needs, as well as Government regulations.
